Floating Table

Beyond the visual interest of a disconnected and floating top, the float demonstrates the thickness and gravitas of a solid wooden top. These beefy floating tables straddle the methods of furniture making and timber framing for building. The keys are the large interlocking through mortise and tenon joineries at the leg posts. The proud tenons, typically a demonstration of precise joint-making doubles as a subtle ornamental flair.
